Annual Appeal 2025

Our mission to advance and promote the use of humane methods of transport, slaughter and killing of farmed animals through education and research has been at the forefront of all our recent initiatives. From impactful seminars to hands-on welfare assessments, our efforts have directly benefited millions of animals worldwide. 

• Seminars and Training: We hosted our one-day seminar on Animal Welfare at Slaughter and Killing in Edinburgh in October 2024, bringing together global experts to share knowledge and best practices. Our team also delivered specialised training sessions, equipping professionals with the tools to improve welfare standards. 

• Welfare Assessments: Our welfare assessments spanned four major abattoirs processing over 80 million animals annually, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring best practices are applied. 

• Global Impact: In Malawi, we funded an initiative to replace harmful chicken transport practices with safer, humane methods, demonstrating the tangible impact of our efforts.
