Travelling to the Symposium

The venue for the symposium is the Hotel Dubrovnik. It is located in the corner of the central square of Zagreb, Ban Jelačić Square, and is easily accessible from all parts of the city.

Directions to the Symposium

The Hotel Dubrovnik is approximately 1 km from Zagreb Central Train Station 2 km from the Central Bus Station and 18 km from Zagreb’s main Pleso Airport.

Zagreb is very well connected by public transport. Single tram and bus tickets cost approximately 10 to 15 kuna, while a daily ticket costs approximately 40 kuna. It is also possible to buy tickets for multiple days. The tram stop in Ban Jelačić Square is situated directly in front of the Hotel Dubrovnik. Taxis can be found in the city centre and at the airport, bookings may also be made in advance when making a hotel reservation.

Arrival by Plane

The easiest way to get from Zagreb Airport to the Hotel Dubrovnik is by taxi, which you can order when making a hotel reservation. The usual fare is approximately 120 kuna when booked in advance.

Alternatively, you can take the Croatia Airlines Pleso prijevoz bus, which operates a shuttle service to the Central Bus Station until 20:00 hours each day and is organised to leave after each flight. It costs 30 kuna and takes approximately 30 min to reach the Central Bus Station in Zagreb. To get from the Central Bus Station to the Hotel Dubrovnik, take a No. 6 tram heading in the direction of Črnomerec. The journey to Ban Jelačić Square takes approximately ten minutes.

Arrival by Train

You can get from Zagreb Central Train Station to Hotel Dubrovnik by taking tram No. 6, in the direction of Črnomerec, or tram No. 13, direction Žitnjak. Hotel Dubrovnik is just two stops away from Zagreb Central Train Station.

Arrival by Bus

Getting to the Hotel Dubrovnik from the Central Bus Station is easiest by tram No.6 in the direction of Črnomerec. The journey to Ban Jelačić Square takes approximately ten minutes. You can find the schedule of arrivals and departures of domestic and international buses on the website of the Main Bus Station.

Arrival by Car

If you are travelling by car, Hotel Dubrovnik has 24-hour guarded parking in Praška Street, approximately 100 metres from the Hotel. The price of a parking space is 100 kuna Monday–Friday and 80 kuna at the weekend. You need to make a reservation in advance.


From Rijeka, Split, Karlovac: Highway A1-3, Jadranska Avenue, follow signs for Zagreb Centre.

From Hungary, Varaždin: Highway A3, follow signs for Zagreb Centre.

From Belgrade, Sarajevo, Slavonski Brod:
 Highway A4, Slavonska Avenue, follow signs for Zagreb Centre.


From Graz, Maribor, Krapina: Highway A1, follow signs for Zagreb West and then Zagreb Centre.
