Every day, many millions of animals worldwide are transported, marketed and slaughtered for food. The potential for animal distress and suffering at these vulnerable times is immense.
Like you, the HSA believes high standards of animal welfare must continue beyond the farm gate. It is the only UK charity exclusively promoting the humane treatment of all food animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, fish and 'exotic' species such as deer, in markets, during transport, and at slaughter. Through research, education, training and technical advances, the HSA achieves real, practical and lasting improvements in food animal welfare.

Make a donation
Whatever its size, your donation will be a vital contribution to improving food animal welfare. You can send a cheque or postal order payable to HSA or download a form to make a payment by credit card, CAF Charity Card or CAF Charity Voucher.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer you can increase the value of your donation by completing a Gift Aid form which enables us to reclaim the income tax paid on the amount of the gift.
